When you apply for a compliance order, the chief executive or your local council must tell everyone affected by your application. They must do this within 5 working days of your application being filed in court. You can find more information about this in the court process.

If the court allows it, they can take longer than 5 working days to tell everyone. The court will decide if more time is needed. This rule does not apply if an interim compliance order is made under section 335.

You should know that the people telling everyone about your application are just following the rules. The chief executive or your local council must follow these steps when you apply for a compliance order. They have to serve notice to everyone affected, and they have to do it on time.
