When you carry out your specified functions and activities as a recognised person, you must make sure you only do tasks that you are allowed to do. You must also keep up to date with all the skills and knowledge you need to do your job. You have to be fair and not take sides, and keep confidential any sensitive information you come across while doing your job, except when you have to report something under the Food Act 2014. You have to report certain things to the registration authority, such as if someone is not following a food control plan, a national programme, or a monitoring programme. You must also follow all the rules in the Food Act 2014 that apply to you.
