The chief executive can decide to suspend your appointment as a food safety officer. If this happens, you will get a written notice that says your appointment is suspended, how long the suspension is, and why it happened. The notice will also tell you that you can apply for a review of the decision under section 355.

The chief executive can also decide to cancel your appointment as a food safety officer. You will get a written notice that says your appointment is cancelled, when the cancellation starts, and why it happened. The notice will also tell you that you have the right to seek a review of the decision under section 355.

If you get one of these notices, the chief executive must also send a copy to your employer, if you have one.
