The Governor-General can make regulations about things that are not covered by sections 383 to 394 but are necessary for the Food Act 2014 to work properly. You need to know that the Minister must talk to people about the regulations before they are made, as stated in section 379. The chief executive can also add to these regulations by giving a notice under section 405.

The regulations and notices made under this section are called secondary legislation, which you can learn more about in Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019. This means they have to be published in a certain way. The Minister and the chief executive have to follow the rules when making these regulations and notices.

You can find out more about how these regulations and notices are made and what they cover by looking at the Food Act 2014 and other related laws.
