Illustration for Food Act 2014

If you have food that was made or processed under the Food Act 1981, and it was already around on the day the new rules started, it is treated the same as food made or processed under the new rules. This means that food from before the new rules is considered to be at the same stage as food made under the new rules. You can find out more about the old rules in the Food Act 1981.
