140: Recognition of certain persons without application

140Recognition of certain persons without application

  1. The chief executive may, without receiving an application under section 139(1), recognise any of the following natural persons to carry out specified functions and activities:

  2. any officer or employee of the Ministry:
    1. any officer or employee of any department as defined in section 5 of the Public Service Act 2020:
      1. any officer or employee of a territorial authority.
        1. Section 139(2) and (3) apply to subsection (1) accordingly, with all necessary modifications.
