Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

Sale and supply of alcohol generally - Licensing generally, requirements on licensees, and conditions - Permitted trading hours

44: Permitted trading hours for premises without relevant local alcohol policy

You could also call this:

"When you can sell alcohol if there's no local alcohol rule"

If you have a licence to sell alcohol, you can trade during certain hours. The hours you can trade are the default maximum national trading hours stated by section 43 if there is no local alcohol policy in your area and your licence does not have special conditions. You must check if there are any special conditions on your licence.

If there is no local alcohol policy in your area, but your licence has special conditions, you must follow the more restrictive hours stated in those conditions. This means you can only trade during the hours stated in your licence conditions. You should know what your licence conditions are.
