Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

Sale and supply of alcohol generally - Licensing process: on-licences, off-licences, and club licences - Matters that relate to decisions to renew licences

133: Renewal of licences where relevant local alcohol policy exists

You could also call this:

"Renewing an alcohol licence when there are local rules"

When you apply to renew a licence to sell alcohol, a licensing committee or the licensing authority looks at your application. They can decline to renew your licence if they think it would not be consistent with the local alcohol policy, which relates to matters specified in section 77(1)(a) to (d). They make this decision based on the policy in your area.

If the licensing committee or authority decides to renew your licence, they can add conditions to it. They do this if they think renewing the licence without conditions would not be consistent with the local alcohol policy.

The licensing committee or authority considers the local alcohol policy when making decisions about renewing licences.
