Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

Licensing trusts, community trusts, and other matters - Licensing trusts - Variation of licensing trust

338: Creation, alteration, or abolition of wards takes effect at next triennial general election of members

You could also call this:

"Changes to wards in a trust district take effect at the next big election."

When you are looking at how wards are set up in a trust district, this section of the law applies in certain situations. You will see it apply when a trust district is divided into wards, or when the wards in a trust district are completely redrawn, or when all the wards in a trust district are abolished.

If any of these things happen, the changes to the wards will only take effect at the next triennial general election of members, except for any changes that are needed to actually hold that election.

You can find more information about this by looking at s 210(1) for comparison.
