Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

Sale and supply of alcohol generally - Licensing process: on-licences, off-licences, and club licences - Applications for licences

117: Other discretionary conditions

You could also call this:

“Extra rules licence holders must follow, decided by the people approving the licence”

When you apply for a licence, the people who decide if you get it can add conditions to your licence. They can add any conditions that are reasonable and do not go against the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. These conditions can be about anything, as long as they make sense and follow the rules of the Act.

The fact that the Act has other rules does not limit the conditions that can be added to your licence. You will still need to follow all the rules in the Act, as well as any extra conditions added to your licence. The people who decide if you get a licence have the power to add conditions that they think are reasonable.
