Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

Licensing trusts, community trusts, and other matters - Other matters - Regulations

399: Consultation on regulations regulating sale of alcohol containing less than 15% ethanol (other than beer, mead, and wine)

You could also call this:

“The Minister must talk to people before making rules about selling some types of alcohol with less than 15% ethanol.”

The Minister has to talk to people before making rules about selling some types of alcohol. You might be wondering what types of alcohol these are - they are drinks with less than 15% ethanol, but not beer, mead, or wine. The Minister must consult with people who will be affected by these rules, if it’s reasonably possible to do so, by looking at the specific situation and who might be impacted, such as those who sell or buy these drinks, and this is required before the Minister can recommend making these rules, which are mentioned in section 398(1).
