151Medical Officer of Health may delegate functions
A Medical Officer of Health may delegate to any person the exercise or performance of any or all of his or her powers or functions under this Act in relation to the health district concerned.
The Medical Officer of Health may delegate the exercise or performance of any power or function to a person only if satisfied that he or she is suitably qualified or trained to exercise or perform it.
A delegation must be written, and must—
- contain a reference to this section; and
- state the full name of the delegate; and
- state the name of the health district.
