Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

Sale and supply of alcohol generally - Licensing generally, requirements on licensees, and conditions - Other restrictions and requirements

57: Display of licence: all licences

You could also call this:

“Showing your alcohol licence where people can see it”

If you have a licence to sell alcohol, you must display a copy of it. You must also display the conditions that come with the licence. You need to put these up where people can easily read them when they enter your premises. This applies to most types of licences, including on-licences and off-licences.

If you have a club licence, you must display a copy of the licence and its conditions. You must also display a copy of any off-licence and its conditions if you have one. You need to put these up where people using your premises can easily read them.

When you get a special licence, the licensing committee might give you directions on how to display it. You must follow these directions and display any conditions that come with the licence. The committee will tell you what to do when they give you the special licence.
