Licensing trusts, community trusts, and other matters - Licensing trusts - Conduct of business

329: First meeting of trust

You could also call this:

"The first meeting of a licensing trust: when and where it happens to get the trust started"

When a licensing trust is set up under section 300, it must have its first meeting. You need to know that this meeting is held at a specific time and place. The time and place are chosen by the person who is nominated to be in charge of the first meeting.

The person in charge is appointed by an Order in Council, which is a special decision made by the government. This decision establishes the trust and says who will be in charge of the first meeting. The meeting is an important step in getting the trust started, as set out in the rules that apply to licensing trusts established under section 300.
