Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

Sale and supply of alcohol generally - Other enforcement provisions - Licensing authority to keep and maintain list

299: List to be made available to constables and inspectors only

You could also call this:

"Only police and inspectors can see this secret list to help keep you safe"

The secretary of the licensing authority must give the list to constables and inspectors. You can think of constables and inspectors as people who help keep you safe. The list is not for anyone else to see.

The list is not part of a bigger record that the secretary keeps under section 65. This means the list is separate and not available to the public. The secretary must keep the list private.

Constables and inspectors can only use the list for a specific reason, which is explained in section 298. This reason is important for their work. They must not use the list for any other purpose.
