You do not have to give notice if you appoint a temporary manager or acting manager for 48 hours or less.

If you appoint a temporary manager or acting manager, the licensing committee can tell you they do not approve within 5 working days. They will send a copy of their notice to the police. If the licensing committee does not approve, you must end the appointment within 5 working days. You can look at s 130 for more information. The licensing committee and police need to know about changes to your management.
