Licensing trusts, community trusts, and other matters - Licensing trusts - Elections

311: Second and later elections

You could also call this:

"Voting for licensing trusts happens on the same day as big council elections after the first vote."

If you are having an election for a licensing trust and it is not on the same day as a triennial general election, the second election must be held on the day of a triennial general election that is at least 4 years after the first election. You will then have all later elections on the same days as later triennial general elections. The electoral officer for these elections is the electoral officer of the territorial authority where the licensing trust is situated.

If the first election of members is held on the same day as a triennial general election, you will have all later elections on the same days as later triennial general elections. This means you will vote for members of the licensing trust at the same time as you vote in the triennial general election.

You can find more information about this by looking at s 192 for comparison.
