Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

Sale and supply of alcohol generally - Licensing generally, requirements on licensees, and conditions - Restrictions relating to trading hours

47A: Anzac Day trading hours for licensed RNZRSA clubs

You could also call this:

"Special Anzac Day hours for some clubs"

If you are at a licensed RNZRSA club on Anzac Day, the club can open from 4 am to 1 pm. This is because of a special rule that says these clubs can trade during these hours, even if other rules say they cannot. Any rules about one-way doors do not apply during this time.

When an RNZRSA club is open on Anzac Day from 4 am to 1 pm, it is not considered to be breaking the rules in the Resource Management Act 1991, as long as the club is following the same rules it would follow during other allowed trading hours. This means the club can use its land in the same way it would on other days when it is allowed to be open. You can find more information about this in section 9 of the Resource Management Act 1991.
