410: Transitional provision relating to BYO restaurants and managers

You could also call this:

"Rules for renewing or changing licences for restaurants where people bring their own alcohol"

If you have a special licence for a restaurant where people can bring their own alcohol, and you want to renew or change the conditions of this licence, this section applies to you. You must have had this licence under the old rules, which are explained in section 28 of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989. When you get your new licence, you might have to appoint a manager, but you do not have to do this right away.

You have six months from the date you get your new licence to appoint a manager. This gives you time to sort things out. The new rules say you must have a manager, but they also give you a bit of time to get everything organised.

If you are renewing or changing your licence, you should be aware of these rules so you can follow them correctly.
