Enforcement: sanctions and offences - Sanctions for breach of obligations other than young person or young parent obligations - Evidential drug test

259: Effect of failure of evidential drug test

You could also call this:

“What happens if you fail a drug test for work requirements”

If you ask for an evidential drug test under section 257 and fail it, this will be treated as a new failure of your work-test obligations. This is important for section 233(d), which deals with work-test obligations. Think of it like this: if you don’t pass the drug test you asked for, it’s the same as if you didn’t meet your work requirements.
