Social Security Act 2018

Obligations - Beneficiaries’ obligations - Specific obligations: social obligations in relation to dependent children

135: Interviews and reporting

You could also call this:

“You might need to meet with MSD and tell them how you're caring for your kids”

If this section applies to you, you need to do two things when the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) asks you to:

First, you must go to and take part in a meeting with someone who works for MSD or someone acting for MSD.

Second, you must tell MSD or someone acting for MSD about how well you are following the rules about looking after your dependent children. These rules are in sections 131 to 134. You need to do this as often as MSD asks and in the way they want you to.
