Social Security Act 2018

Administration - Notices and communications, services, and preferred suppliers - Administration services provided by contracted service providers

374: Administration service providers: contents and form of contracts

You could also call this:

“Rules for written agreements between the government and companies helping with social security”

When the government hires a company to help with social security tasks, they need to have a written agreement. This agreement must clearly state what the company will do and what the government department (MSD) will do. It’s important that the company agrees to work well with MSD.

The agreement needs to include any special rules that are set by the government. These rules are written in another part of the law.

Remember, this agreement is a formal contract, so it has to be written down. It can’t just be a verbal agreement.

The details of what goes into this contract are based on rules set out in another part of the law. This means that while the contract needs to follow these rules, it might also have other things in it too.
