Assistance - Young parent payment

58: Young parent payment: no or minimum income

You could also call this:

“Young parents can get money help even if they earn a little bit”

You have no or minimum income if you either don’t earn any money or if you earn less than the amount that would make you ineligible for the young parent payment. Even if you earn enough money for a short time to make you ineligible for the young parent payment, you can still get the payment if you meet the other requirements. This rule helps make sure you don’t lose your payment because of a temporary increase in your income.
