272: Effect of cancellation of youth payment on accommodation supplement or temporary additional support

You could also call this:

"What happens to your accommodation help if your youth payment stops"

If your youth payment is cancelled under section 271(2), it affects your accommodation supplement or temporary additional support. If you are single, you are not entitled to receive an accommodation supplement or temporary additional support. If you are not single, the rules are different.

If your partner's youth payment is not cancelled under section 271(2), your accommodation supplement or temporary additional support is reduced by half and paid to your partner. Your partner's accommodation supplement or temporary additional support is also reduced by half. This is how it works if you are not single and your partner's payment is not cancelled.

If your partner's youth payment is also cancelled under section 271(2), you are not entitled to receive an accommodation supplement or temporary additional support. Your partner is also not entitled to receive an accommodation supplement or temporary additional support. This is what happens if both you and your partner have your youth payments cancelled.
