288: Effect of regrant of youth payment on incentive payment

You could also call this:

“What happens to your bonus money if you get your youth payment back after losing it”

If your youth support payment was cancelled because you didn’t follow the rules, and then you get it again, here’s what happens with your incentive payments:

Usually, you’ll get back any incentive payments you were getting before your youth support payment was cancelled. These will be paid to you along with your new youth payment or young parent payment.

However, if your payment was cancelled because you didn’t participate in education, training, or work-based learning, things are a bit different. In this case, you’ll only get your education incentive payment back if you start meeting the conditions for it again. This means you’ll need to go back to education, training, or work-based learning.

To get your education incentive payment back, you’ll need to follow the rules set out in the law. These rules explain what you need to do to qualify for the payment.
