Assistance - Jobseeker support

27: Jobseeker support: on ground of health condition, injury, or disability: application must include certificate

You could also call this:

“You need a doctor's note to get jobseeker support for health reasons”

If you want to apply for jobseeker support because of a health condition, injury, or disability, you need to include a special certificate with your application. This certificate must be given by a health practitioner who is allowed to do this. The certificate needs to say that your health condition, injury, or disability affects your ability to work. It should explain what your health issue is, how much it affects your work, and how long it might last. The certificate might also need to include other information that MSD (Ministry of Social Development) asks for.
