183B: If person does not have jobseeker profile completed

You could also call this:

"No benefit if you don't complete your jobseeker profile"

If you do not have a jobseeker profile completed, the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) does not have to look into your claim for a benefit unless you complete your jobseeker profile to their satisfaction or they decide you do not need to complete it. You can find more information about this in section 298(1) and section 183A(1). MSD can also decide to stop requiring you to complete your jobseeker profile, as stated in section 183A(2).

This rule applies even if you have not finished your application for a benefit. If you do apply for a benefit, your application will be cancelled unless you complete your jobseeker profile within the allowed time, as stated in section 183D(1), or MSD decides you do not need to complete it. MSD's decision to stop requiring you to complete your jobseeker profile is also stated in section 183A(2).
