New Zealand law explained for everyone

Plain Language Law homepage
20A: Certain existing lawful activities allowed
or “Some activities can keep going even if new rules say they need permission”

You could also call this:

“Everyone must do their jobs quickly and not waste time when following the rules in this law.”

If you have a job to do under this law, and there’s no specific time limit for when you need to do it, you should do it as quickly as you can. You need to be reasonable about how fast you work, based on what’s happening around you. This applies to everyone who has tasks, responsibilities, or duties under this law.
