217M: Regulations relating to freshwater farm plans
or “Rules that explain how to make and manage plans for protecting water on farms”

You could also call this:

“This part helps track efforts to make water cleaner by gathering information about fertiliser sales.”

This part of the law helps the government keep track of how well we’re looking after our freshwater. It does this by collecting information about the sales of nitrogenous fertiliser. This information is used to help manage and plan for better freshwater quality and healthier freshwater ecosystems under the Resource Management Act.

Nitrogenous fertiliser is a type of plant food that farmers and gardeners use to help their crops grow. However, it can sometimes affect the quality of our water and the plants and animals that live in it. By knowing how much of this fertiliser is being sold, the government can better understand its impact on our water.

This information will help people make better decisions about how to protect our rivers, lakes, and other freshwater areas. It’s all part of making sure we have clean water and healthy environments for fish and other water creatures.
