Resource Management Act 1991

Environment Court - Officers of court

260: Registrar and other officers

You could also call this:

"People who help the Environment Court run smoothly, like the Registrar and their assistants."

The Environment Court has a Registrar to help it. You can think of a Registrar like a person who helps the court run smoothly. The court may also have one or more Deputy Registrars and other people to assist with administration. The Registrar, Deputy Registrars, and other people who help the court are appointed under the Public Service Act 2020. They are all officers of the court. A Deputy Registrar has the same powers as the Registrar, but the Registrar is in charge. You can be an officer of the court and have another job in the public service at the same time.
