Resource Management Act 1991

Transitional provisions - Miscellaneous provisions

430: Savings as to court proceedings

You could also call this:

“This rule protects ongoing court cases from being changed by new laws.”

This part of the law says that the Resource Management Act 1991 doesn’t change anything about court cases that were already happening when the Act started. If you had started a case in court before this law came into effect, your rights in that case stay the same. The only time this might not be true is if the Act specifically says something different somewhere else.
