217O: Nitrogenous fertiliser defined
or “This law explains what plant food with nitrogen in it means when talking about how it affects water and nature.”

You could also call this:

“People must follow rules about sharing information on fertiliser sales to help protect water.”

If rules are made under section 217Q, you must follow them if you are part of a group mentioned in those rules. These rules are about two main things:

  1. Collecting information about buying and selling fertiliser that contains nitrogen.

  2. Giving this information to certain people or groups. These could be the EPA (Environmental Protection Authority), your local regional council, or other specific people or groups named in the rules.

You need to do both of these things if the rules say you should.
