Declarations, enforcement, and ancillary powers - Declarations

312: Notification of application

You could also call this:

“Telling people who will be affected by your application”

When you apply for a declaration, you must tell every person who will be directly affected by your application. You do this by serving them a notice in a special form. You must give them this notice within 5 working days after you make your application to the court.

You have to serve the notice to everyone who will be affected, and you must do it quickly. The notice has to be in a certain form, which is set out in the rules. You give the notice to the people affected after you have made your application to the court.
