Resource Management Act 1991

Resource consents - Transfer of consents

135: Transferability of coastal permits

You could also call this:

"Transferring a coastal permit to someone else is allowed, unless the rules say otherwise."

If you have a coastal permit, you can transfer some or all of your interest in it to someone else. You can do this unless the consent or a rule in a regional coastal plan says you cannot. The consent or rule might say something different.

When you transfer your interest in a coastal permit, it does not take effect until you give written notice to the consent authority that granted the permit. This means you need to tell them in writing that you are transferring your interest. The transfer is not complete until they receive your notice.
