If you are a local authority, you must not notify a draft planning instrument from the start of this subpart until 31 December 2027. This rule applies even if other parts of the Resource Management Act 1991 say something different. 80PNotification stopped until 31 December 2027

  1. Despite anything to the contrary in this Act, on and after the commencement of this subpart, and until 31 December 2027, a local authority must not notify a draft planning instrument.

  2. Subsection (1) does not apply if—

  3. an exemption applies under section 80U; or
    1. the Minister grants an exemption under section 80V.
