Resource Management Act 1991

Schedule 10: Requirements for instruments creating esplanade strips and access strips

You could also call this:

"Rules for creating and using esplanade and access strips to protect people and the environment"

When an esplanade strip or access strip is created, there are rules you must follow. You are not allowed to do things that might disturb or harm others using the strip. This includes damaging buildings or fences, or disturbing animals on the strip.

There are also other rules that apply to esplanade strips and access strips. For example, you are not allowed to light fires, carry firearms, or camp on the land. You are also not allowed to take animals or vehicles onto the land, unless it is allowed by the rules. In some cases, the rules may allow the owner or occupier of the land to do things that others are not allowed to do.

The rules for esplanade strips and access strips can also include things like fencing requirements and access restrictions. For example, the rules might say who is allowed to enter the strip and when, or whether the strip can be closed at certain times. The rules can be different depending on why the esplanade strip or access strip was created, such as for conservation, access, or recreational purposes.
