41A: Control of hearings
or “The people in charge of a hearing can decide how to run it based on how big and important it is.”

You could also call this:

“The authority can tell people when to give their evidence before a hearing starts.”

The authority can tell you to give them evidence before a hearing happens. If you’re the person asking for something, you need to give this evidence at least 10 working days before the hearing.

If you’ve made a comment about the application and want to bring an expert to speak, the authority can also tell you to give them information about what the expert will say. You need to give this information at least 5 working days before the hearing.

These rules help everyone be ready for the hearing and know what information will be talked about.
