149ZE: Remuneration, allowances, and expenses of boards of inquiry

You could also call this:

“Pay and expenses for people on a board of inquiry”

When you are part of a board of inquiry, the Fees and Travelling Allowances Act 1951 applies to you. This means you are part of a statutory board, which is a group set up by law. You can get paid for your work on the board if the Minister says so.

The Minister can direct that you get paid fees, a salary, or allowances for your work on the board. You can also get travelling allowances and expenses if you travel for the board’s work. The Fees and Travelling Allowances Act 1951 sets out how these payments work, and it applies to the payments you get for being on the board, as outlined in the Fees and Travelling Allowances Act 1951.
