149ZERemuneration, allowances, and expenses of boards of inquiry
The Fees and Travelling Allowances Act 1951 applies to a board of inquiry appointed under section 149J as follows:
- the board is a statutory board within the meaning of the Act; and
- a member of the board may be paid the following, out of money appropriated by Parliament for the
purpose, if the Minister so directs:
- remuneration by way of fees, salary, or allowances under the Act; and
- travelling allowances and travelling expenses under the Act for time spent travelling in the
service of the board; and
- remuneration by way of fees, salary, or allowances under the Act; and
- the Act applies to payments under paragraph (b).
