165ZG: Application

You could also call this:

“Applying for a coastal permit to do aquaculture activities in New Zealand's common marine and coastal area”

This part of the law applies to you if you want to get a coastal permit to do aquaculture activities in the common marine and coastal area. It only applies to applications made on or after 23 August 2004 for aquaculture activities. You need to know that this law is part of the Resource Management Act 1991, which you can find more information about on the New Zealand legislation website.

However, this part of the law does not apply to your application if there is already a regional coastal plan that says how to allocate space for your aquaculture activity. The law has been amended by the Resource Management Amendment Act (No 2) 2004 and the Resource Management Amendment Act (No 2) 2011, which you can read more about on the New Zealand legislation website.

You should look at the Resource Management Act 1991 to understand how it applies to you.
