Resource Management Act 1991

Water conservation orders

207: Matters to be considered

You could also call this:

“Things to think about when deciding on a water conservation order”

When you apply for a water conservation order, a special tribunal considers your application. They think about the purpose of the order and other matters in section 199. They also consider your application, all submissions, and the needs of industries and the community.

They look at the rules in national policy statements, New Zealand coastal policy statements, regional policy statements, regional plans, district plans, and any proposed plans. The tribunal thinks about all these things when deciding on your application for a water conservation order. They want to make a fair decision that works for everyone.
