357C: Procedure for making and hearing objection under sections 357 to 357B
or “This explains how to make a complaint about a decision and what happens next.”

You could also call this:

“A hearings commissioner can ask for more information or get a report to help decide on certain objections.”

If you make an objection under section 357A(1)(f) or (g), a hearings commissioner will look at it. The commissioner can do a few things to help them make a decision about your objection.

They can ask you to give them more information about your objection. They can also ask the consent authority (that’s the group that made the decision you’re objecting to) to provide more details.

If the commissioner thinks it will help, they can also ask someone else to write a report about the things you raised in your objection.

But don’t worry, the commissioner won’t ask for extra information or reports unless they really think it will help them decide about your objection.

Remember, this only applies to objections made under section 357A(1)(f) or (g). You can check section 357AB to see more about this.
