or “The rules about letting people have more time or skip some steps when dealing with the government's decisions about land and buildings.”

You could also call this:

“ People who can change time limits and give extra time for certain parts of the law ”

Some people and groups can make decisions about time limits in resource management cases, just like a consent authority can. These people and groups are:

The Minister, when they’re doing their job under Part 6AA.

A board of inquiry that’s been set up under section 149J, when they’re doing their job under Part 6AA. But they can’t change the time limits in section 149R.

The EPA, when it’s doing its job under Part 6AA. But it can’t change the time limits in section 146(1).

A special tribunal that’s been set up under section 202, for everything it does while it’s doing its job.

These people and groups can use the powers in sections 37 and 37A to make decisions about time limits.
