Resource Management Act 1991

Coastal tendering

158: Requirements of tender

You could also call this:

"What you need to include when you put in a tender for something like taking resources from the coast"

When you put in a tender for an authorisation, you must specify the activity or range of activities you want the authorisation for. You also need to include information about the maximum period of any proposed coastal permit and the maximum amount of material you plan to extract, but only if section 152(1)(b) applies to your activity. You have to say how much you are willing to pay for the authorisation, including any initial payment and any royalty for extracting material.

You must tell the Minister how you worked out the royalty and how you plan to adjust it. When you submit your tender, you need to pay the prescribed fee, if there is one, and include a cash deposit or equivalent security for any initial payment you offered. You also need to provide any extra information that was requested in the public notice calling for tenders.

The Minister will look at your tender and the information you provided to decide whether to give you the authorisation.
