If you fail to comply with the requirements of section 30ZH, you commit an offence. As a driver, you can be fined up to $2,000 and disqualified from driving certain vehicles for a month or more. You may not be allowed to drive vehicles that need a class 2, 3, 4, or 5 licence, or vehicles used in transport services or to carry goods for hire or reward. If you are not a driver, you can be fined up to $25,000 for failing to comply with the requirements of section 30ZH. The court will decide the fine and any disqualification period. You must follow the rules to avoid these penalties.
