You are a category 1 light vehicle importer. You must meet targets every year. You have to check the carbon dioxide emissions of the vehicles you import. The emissions must be less than or equal to the target for your type of vehicles. You import Type A or Type B vehicles, or both. You must check the emissions for each type of vehicle. The target is calculated using a formula in the regulations. You can find more information about the regulations in the Land Transport (Clean Vehicles) Amendment Act 2022. You need to follow the rules to comply with the targets. The rules apply to the vehicles you import each year.
