Land Transport Act 1998

Repeals, amendments to other enactments, and transitional and savings provisions

226: Saving of notices suspending driver licences

You could also call this:

“Old notices that took away your driving licence are still valid under the new law”

If you had a notice that suspended your driver’s licence because of demerit points before this new law came into effect, that notice will still work. It will be treated as if it was given under the new law. This means that even though the old law changed, the suspension of your licence is still valid.
