Clean vehicle standard - Clean vehicle standard - Opening, closing, and suspension of carbon dioxide accounts

193: Application of general right of appeal to District Court

You could also call this:

“You can challenge decisions about your carbon dioxide account in court”

If you have a carbon dioxide account, you have the right to appeal to the District Court if you disagree with decisions made about opening, closing, or suspending your account. This right is similar to the one that exists for other land transport documents. When you use this right to appeal, the court will treat decisions about your carbon dioxide account in the same way as decisions about other land transport documents. The court will make any other necessary changes to apply this right to carbon dioxide accounts.
