Land Transport Act 1998

The Crown and land transport

169: Objectives of Minister

You could also call this:

“The Minister's goals are to make transport safe and work well, and follow international rules”

The Minister has two main goals under this Act. First, you should know that the Minister aims to do their job in a way that helps create a transport system that works well together, is safe, responds to needs, and can last for a long time. Second, the Minister needs to make sure that New Zealand follows the rules it has agreed to with other countries about land transport.
