Clean vehicle standard - Information gathering and enforcement powers

194: Requirement to collect and keep information and records for purposes of clean vehicle standard

You could also call this:

“You must collect and keep records about cars you bring into New Zealand”

You need to collect and keep certain information if you import vehicles. For each vehicle you bring into New Zealand, you must:

Gather any required data and information about the vehicle.

Keep records of this data and information in the way you’re told to.

Keep enough information so that the Director can check your vehicle imports, charges you need to pay, and charges you’ve already paid for each year you have obligations.

You have to keep all this data, records, and information for at least 7 years after the end of the year they’re about.
