Land Transport Act 1998

Repeals, amendments to other enactments, and transitional and savings provisions

228: Saving of certain applications under Transport Act 1962

“Old transport applications stay valid under the new law”

If you had made an application under the Transport Act 1962, and that application was still waiting to be decided when parts of that Act were cancelled, don’t worry. Your application can still be looked at under the new Land Transport Act 1998. The new Act has similar rules to the old one, so your application will be handled in a similar way. This means you don’t have to start all over again with a new application just because the law changed.
